Portfolio of work related to the Master's of Education degree program of study at UALRI began the Learning Systems Technology (LSTE) graduate program of study at UALR in January 2004. I completed the program in April, 2005. I had a distinct advantage in that I was already employed as the Director of Instructional Technology with Mid-South Community College (MSCC) before I began the master's program at UALR. I completed the design of an online faculty development course titled "Instructional Design Skills for Online Learning" in December of 2004, one month prior to beginning the program of study at UALR. As I learned new things and deepened my understanding of concepts I was at least somewhat familiar with via this program of study, I applied much of what I learned to my work at MSCC. I also enhanced the ID course I had previously designed. For this, the LSTE program of study at UALR was a perfect fit. It fit my schedule because it was entirely online. It was also exactly what I needed to get better at what I was already doing professionally. What I have learned in this program has benefited my college as well, as I have continued to build and enhance the IT program that I manage. This portfolio highlights samples of my scholarly and professional work as evidence of having met the program objectives within the following three major program areas.
