Accomplishments

  • Fall 2000:  Implemented CIW Certificate of Proficiency in Web Site Design
  • Fall 2001:  Implemented  CIW option of AAS I. S. Degree
  • Summer 2002:  Instructor for the CIW Faculty Training Institute  (MSCC become one of the first FTI)
  • Fall 2003:  Designed the Capstone Project course for AAS students (still teaching this course)
  • Fall 2003:  Designed & developed a custom course "Instructional Design Skills for Online Learning" for faculty
  • Spring 2004:  Implemented the "Instructional Design Skills for Online Learning" training for faculty
  • Spring 2005:  Launched the MSCC Shared Learning Objects website to showcase and freely share faculty created learning objects
  • Spring 2005:  Designed and launched two new faculty development online workshops:  "Designing the Learning Experience and Integrating the use of Blackboard With the Creation of a Master Course"
  • Spring 2005:  Spearheaded the MSCC Master Course Initiative

Corporate Computer Training Specialist

  • Duties include teaching computer software skills to new and existing employees via classroom, desk side, PC Anywhere to employees in remote branches, travel to branches, seminars and intranet Virtual Classroom. My primary duty is to document, design and present training materials and classes for multiple custom and proprietary programs for existing and new employees.  Employee/trainees consist mainly of Stock Brokers/Financial Advisors, Sales Assistants, Bankers, Analyst and other high level professionals.  In addition I create training documentation, presentation tutorials and web content. I also  manage all contracts for purchase of training materials such as Editors and Computer Based Training. I support employee users by phone as well as one on one consult. From time to time I am called upon to analyze need and design Access applications, Excel or Word templates PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • In addition, I designed, implemented, and maintain the company's intranet based "Virtual Classroom" web site.
  • Co designed on site training center which includes 19 PCs, ceiling mounted projector/LCD, and sound system. This is where I present classroom training at least one day each week.

7/95 to 7/96   Marion Community Hospital Carbondale, PA

  • Duties included purchasing PC hardware and software, designing and implementing training for all employees and support. Software package of choice was Lotus Smart Suite.   Responsible for repair and upgrade of all PC's.
